1934 Football Team - The Terrors
Class of 2024
Team

Before the dawn of the Braves, they were the Terrors. Coach George C. Hansen’s Battle Creek Terrors football team reigned supreme in Northeast Nebraska in the fall of 1934. Earning the title of the Northeast Nebraska Champions, they were the school’s first team to receive recognition at the state level. Led by All-State Honorable Mention halfback Donald Bridges, the Terrors outscored their opponents 202-24, tying for the fourth most points scored across the state. These old school bruisers chalked up a record of 8-0, and were one of only eight teams in the state to go undefeated and untied that year. This squad may have been the fleeting spectacle of the Terrors era, but they provided a glimpse into the future for what the newfound Braves-to-be would be known for for decades to come.
