Pete and Pat Kropp
Class of 2024
Employee

Pete and Pat Kropp were more than just educators; they were a transformative force in the lives of their students. For over two decades, this dynamic duo dedicated themselves to their craft at Battle Creek High School. Pete taught industrial arts and driver’s education, which many people have fond memories of. He was also an assistant coach on numerous state championship football and track and field teams. While Pete’s rugged, tough approach earned the respect of his students and colleagues, his ability to know each and every student did not go unnoticed. Pat, a tender, mild, and beloved social studies and vocal music teacher, was instrumental in motivating students to pursue their passions. She too found great joy in getting to know each of her students individually. Her nurturing approach and keen insight into student needs fostered many genuine relationships throughout the years. Pete and Pat’s influence transcended their time as educators. They were also supporters of the Battle Creek Foundation, helping students achieve their dreams as they pursue higher education. Their continuous support for Battle Creek students was a testament to their extraordinary impact.
