Battle Creek High School will be welcoming a new teacher next fall: Mr. Seth Montag. Mr. Montag will be the new business and technology instructor, replacing Mr. Kyle Schmidt who is leaving at the end of the year to take a principal position in Plainview. Mr. Montag will also assist with football at Battle Creek.
Mr. Montag grew up in Norfolk, graduating from Norfolk Catholic High School in 2015. He has spent the last four years at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln studying toward a Bachelor of Science in Education & Human Services. His endorsements will be in business, marketing and information technology. Mr. Montag is currently student teaching at Lincoln Southeast High School and will graduate in May.
Mr. Montag mentioned that he chose the field of education to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, stating that he can’t wait to start in Battle Creek in the fall. He added that growing up in Norfolk and competing against Battle Creek in athletics, he understands the values and traditions at the school and in the community. We certainly welcome Mr. Montag and can’t wait to get him in some purple and gold.
