Congratulations to senior Damien Kersten for being selected to wrestle in the 2019 Nebraska All Star Wrestling Classic to be held in Grand Island this summer.
Kersten competed for the Braves over the past three seasons and finished this past winter with Mid State Conference First Team, All District First Team, and All State First Team honors. He ended his season atop the podium at the 2019 Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha, his first state championship.
Kersten plans to continue his wrestling career at Chadron State College. He is the son of Matt and Connie Kersten of Battle Creek.
