Today Is The Day!
Today is the day
For this we all know
The time will arrive
On break we will go
To the doors we'll creep
As the time draws near
Big hand hits 30
We're out with a cheer
Some kids will go home
While others will stay
For practice and games
Are still left to play
Today is the day
We hardly can wait
The time will soon come
For us to abate
The rigors of school
We'll put them on hold
For the time being
No books will unfold
For two weeks of time
Relax and unwind
Look under the tree
Some gifts you may find
With hearts full of joy
And time with loved ones
Cherish the moments
Of Holiday fun
Now over the break
Be sure to be kind
Count all your blessings
There's plenty you'll find
Out with the old one
And in with the new
Ring in the new year
With worries so few
With every new year
There comes a new start
New goals to live by
Past problems we'll part
On with vacation
That's just what we'll do
