Happy Friday everyone!
Success is no stranger to Battle Creek Public Schools. Over the years, both historically and recently, we have celebrated elite ACT scores, academic champions, state championships, runner-up trophies, national qualifiers, national champions, conference titles, and individual accolades. We are fortunate to bask in the glow of what the outside world often recognizes as success.
However, I would argue—passionately—that these trophies and accolades, while certainly well-deserved and deeply appreciated, do not represent our true success. Our true success is found in the dedication, hard work, and determination of our students and staff. It’s grounded in the unwavering support of our parents and community. Our success springs from our high expectations and our laser-focus on a relentless commitment to excellence that starts in pre-school and grows from within as our kids grow.
The trophies, awards, and accomplishments are merely a reflection of our preparation and competitive spirit. It is the extra hours, the tireless effort, and the willingness to give everything we have that lead us to these moments of triumph. Behind every award lies countless hours of hard work, collaboration, and perseverance—those are the quiet, unsung victories that deserve recognition as well. But of course, we’ll gladly take the medals and trophies that accompany all that effort!
Happy Friday!
