What a weekend for the BC speech team! On Friday, the team traveled to Wakefield to compete in the annual Sweet Meet. The varsity team finished as tournament runner‑up, and the JV team finished the day in third place. On Saturday, the varsity team and a handful of JV competitors traveled to David City for one of the largest regular‑season tournaments in the state. The David City invite featured some of the top schools across all classifications, over 600 entries, and five sets of finals (Champs, Honors, Merit, Consolation, JV). The team broke 17 entries into finals and finished the day in eighth place. The speech team will continue their season this Saturday at their home tournament, the BC Braves Classic.
