Gabriel Richard Hoffmeyer, son of Ross and Kristin Hoffmeyer, attended Riverdale Elementary in Kearney and Washington Elementary in Norfolk before coming to the Battle Creek Public Schools in fifth grade.
Gabe participated in football and golf during all four years of high school and was a member of the FFA this past year. He has been a Student of the Month honoree and has earned all A’s in algebra. When asked to name a favorite teacher, Gabe listed Mr. Seth Montag because he is a good person to talk to.
After graduation, Gabe plans to attend Northeast Community College to study agronomy.

Hannah Rae Tillman, daughter of Sarah and Joshua Tillman, attended Anthon Oto Community Schools in Iowa before coming to St. John's Lutheran School in 4th grade. She remained at St. John’s through 7th grade and joined Battle Creek Public Schools for the remainder of her education. Hannah is a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Battle Creek.
During high school, Hannah was involved in one act play production, speech, and track for two years each, and she was on the dance and cheer teams during all four years. Hannah served as a cheer co-captain this past year.
When asked to list a favorite teacher, Hannah mentioned Mrs. Leigha Kern, stating, “She has always inspired me to work hard and to do my best.” Hannah listed Spanish as her favorite subject in school.
Outside of school, Hannah likes to hang out with her friends. When she's not with friends, she spends her time babysitting and volunteering in the community. She recently started working at In His Arms Childcare in Battle Creek.
After graduation, Hannah plans to attend Northeast Community College for her generals and then she hopes to study at UNMC to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing.

Cole W. Vavra
Coleman W. Vavra, son of Corry and Alisa Vavra and Dacia Vavra, has attended Battle Creek Public Schools for all years of his education.
When asked to list a favorite teacher at BCHS, Cole listed two: Mr. Dexter Hanzel and Mr. Mike Couch. He listed shop as his favorite class during the day.
After graduation, Cole plans to attend Northeast Community College to study welding.

Mason Cohl Mink, son of Todd and Lori Mink, attended Battle Creek Public Schools for all thirteen years of his education. He is an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk.
Mason participated in football, basketball, and track during all four years of high school. He served as team captain for the football squad as a senior. For his efforts, he received numerous athletic awards, including Academic All-State in basketball (2018), Academic All-State in football (2020), First-Team All-District in football (2020), and All-State Honorable Mention in football (2020). Mason ends his career as a ten year letter winner at Battle Creek High School.
Outside of athletics, Mason is a member of the National Honor Society. When asked to name a favorite teacher, he listed Mr. Andrew Carlson, stating they had some pretty interesting conversations about farming during weights class. When asked to list a favorite subject, Mason listed math because he is a “big numbers guy”. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing, hanging out with his friends, and working on his family farm.
After graduation, Mason plans to attend Northeast Community College to study Mechanized Agriculture.

Benjamin Weinandt, son of Myron and Jennifer Weinandt, attended Beadle Elementary in Yankton, South Dakota, before coming to Battle Creek Public Schools for the remainder of his education. He is a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Battle Creek.
Ben was active in football during all four years of high school and played basketball for two. Aside from athletics, Ben was a member of the band for all four years, where he served as vice-president as a senior. In addition, he is a member of the National Honor Society and a member of FFA, where he has served as vice president this past school year. Ben also served as a trailblazer for one year.
When asked to name a fondest memory of his time at BCHS, Ben mentioned when former teachers Mr. Trevor Anderson and Mr. Tucker Tejkl dressed up and sang for the student body at an assembly.
Ben listed Mr. Taylor Baumert and Mr. Ryan Heller as his favorite teachers, stating, “They always give good advice and are always positive influences.” Ben named government as his favorite subject because it helps him understand the various things that are required of citizens. He also enjoys discussing social issues in the class.
After graduation, Ben plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He intends to major in animal science.

St. Edward Speech Meet 2021
Kaylee Grace Osborne, daughter of Robert and Julie Osborne, attended Montessori Circle of Friends Preschool in Norfolk before coming to the Battle Creek Public Schools for the remainder of her education. She is a member of Harvest Church in Norfolk.
Kaylee was active in volleyball and dance during all four years of high school. In dance, she served as captain during her junior and senior years. In addition, Kaylee served as statistician for the wrestling squad for two seasons.
Aside from athletics, Kaylee was in FCCLA and student council during all four years of high school, and she was a member of one act play production and served as a trailblazer for two years. In addition, she was a member of the National Honor Society as a senior. For her efforts in the classroom, Kaylee has been on the A honor roll throughout high school.
When asked to name her fondest memory from her time at BCHS, Kaylee mentioned going to state dance all four years of high school. She said, “It was a lot of fun, and I loved spending time with my team.”
After graduation, Kaylee plans to attend Northeast Community College for one year. She then plans to finish her education at Wayne State College. She will study social work.

Caden Allen Meinke, son of Kristi Meinke and Jason Meinke, has attended Battle Creek Public Schools since preschool. He is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk.
Caden participated in wrestling during all four year of high school, lettering each season. Outside of school, he enjoys fishing, cruising around with friends, and listening to music.
When asked to name his favorite teacher at BCHS, Caden listed Mrs. Kristin Colvey. He also mentioned that history is his favorite subject and stated that he greatly enjoys learning about World War II.
After graduation, Caden plans to attend Wayne State College to major in business.
